Some funny jokes...

Just wanted to share some funny jokes I recieved in an email. Enjoy! :O)

A Sunday school teacher was discussing the Ten Commandments with her five and six year olds.
After explaining the commandment to 'honor' thy Father and thy Mother, she asked, 'Is there a commandment that teaches us how to treat our brothers and sisters?'
Without missing a beat one little boy (the oldest of a family) answered, 'Thou shall not kill.'

The children were lined up in the cafeteria of a Catholic elementary school for lunch. At the head of the table was a large pile of apples. The nun made a note, and posted on the apple tray:
'Take only ONE . God is watching.'
Moving further along the lunch line, at the other end of the table was a large pile of chocolate chip cookies.
A child had written a note, 'Take all you want. God is watching the apples.'

A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales. The teacher said it was physically impossible for a whale to swallow a human because even though it was a very large mammal its throat was very small.
The little girl stated that Jonah was swallowed by a whale.
Irritated, the teacher reiterated that a whale could not swallow a human; it was physically impossible.
The little girl said, 'When I get to heaven I will ask Jonah'.
The teacher asked, 'What if Jonah went to hell?'
The little girl replied, 'Then you ask him'.

Say Cheese!

We took Madison to have her 6 month pictures taken this week. She is usually all smiles, but not when we arrived at the portrait studio. She was more interested in her toes and lifting her dress. Here are a few of the best ones. Hopefully we will have better luck at nine months.

Sephora lip gloss

I got these free lip gloss samples from Sephora. Since I am a beauty insider, and get discounts, samples, good deals, ect. The glosses are actually really nice. They aren't sticky and they stay on well.

Grow Baby Grow!

It is time to pack away Madison's 3-6 months clothes and go shopping in her closet for her 6- 9 month clothing. Our family and friends were very thoughtful and heartfelt with baby gifts. Madison will never say she has nothing to wear. She is very well set for the next year.

A few weeks ago I went to old navy.com and gap.com- all their winter clothing is on clearance right now, so I saved a ton of money on 18 month clothing. I love finding good deals. Now I just have to stop myself if I see something cute while shopping. That is a downside to buying in advance.

Well, I just wanted to share a little onsie from her 6-9 month collection. Grandma and Grandpa Nolan picked her up this Home Grown onsie. The little embellishment is too cute!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

I made some Valentine Day treats!! Yumm!! Godiva has great Chocolate covered strawberries, but I just couldn't see spending $5 on one.

Meijer's was having a sale on strawberries $1.88 a pack.

Hershey milk chocolate chips were $2.50

I had everything else at home that I needed. I just poured about half the bag of chips into my measuring cup and microwaved the chips for about 2 minutes. (mixing at about 1 minute)

So for way less than $5, I made a ton of yummy chocolate covered strawberries!!

Have a great day everyone!

I am starting to feel old.

Tomorrow I am going to be 27 years old. The last 2 times I have ordered an alcoholic beverage (a pina colado- yummmm) I was not asked for my id. Maybe next time I go out I will have to order something less girly and see if I get carded. Blah!

6 month stats

Madison is now weighing in at 18lbs 9oz and 27in long.

She has grown a ton since her 4 month visit. 13.8lbs and 14.8in.

She loves her veggies!!!

First Watch

First Watch is a daytime cafe that is open for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. It is one one my favorite places to eat breakfast, besides Panera Bread. That place is great too. Madison and I met a few of my friends and even a couple of her friends there for breakfast today. She doesn't know it yet, but they are going to have so much fun at the park this summer. Well, back to First Watch. I had a veggie omelet. It is served with home fries (these are so yummy) and a english muffin. I usually substitute the english muffin with raisin toast, but I forgot this time. The english muffin wasn't bad- not dry and crunch at all. It actually was pretty good. I have never had a bad meal from there. I highly recommend!!

You can see if you have one near you! You have to check it out if you do. (you'll have to copy and paste- I can't get that insert link to ever work)

Madison sat in one of those wooden high chairs for the first time today. She did really well. I just lodged my jacket behind her. We went to the grocery store after and she also got to sit in the front of the cart. Of course, I left that cart cover that I bought 3 months ago in her closet at home. I will have to remember that next time......This is so exciting because her car seat takes up the whole cart and it is very challenging to get more than 15 items at a time. Plus, I think she really enjoyed it. I put the tortilla chips next to her and she crunched the bag the whole time, and surprisingly all my scoops were still intact.

Home World

This weekend we are going to a home and garden expo. I love getting ideas and inspiration from them. This year JR is even excited to go, and he usually hates going to those types of things. I think he is excited for spring because we are doing some landscaping and making a vegetable garden. Also, JR has decided when he retires from the military he wants to have a landscaping company. Last week he was talking about opening up a pizza store. So I am not sure exactly what we are going to do in 14 years, but I am sure it will be something exciting. Maybe we will have a landscaping company? Then, we can be a vendor and have a nice booth at a home and garden show. We will have to have one of those nice waterfalls that dips into a pond with flowers all around it. We will also have to have one of those bridges you can walk over. Yeah, that would be pretty. Anyway, hopefully I will get some nice pictures at the expo!

Well,I can't wait for Spring. Today was actually beautiful!! It was in the 40's and that is a nice change from the frigid teens.
