I am kinda going through a cooking rut. I just throw thing together that we have in the fridge and call it good. I used to have a menu and plan everything out, but over the summer I have gotten out of that habit. I just go for the quick and easy which usually consists of a chicken meal with a veggie and salad, breakfast- I love eating breakfast for dinner! I make eggs, home fries, and bacon. If I am being super lazy I head for the frozen pizza. If I am lucky JR has a meat to grill and I just have to worry about the sides. Which lately is a salad with romaine lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, cranberries, walnuts, cottage cheese, grapes, and shredding cheese. Fresh broccoli, sweet potatoes or corn on the cob are my my go to veggies these days. If I am super lucky, I catch JR making dinner on some Tuesdays or Thursdays when I don't get out of zumba until 5:30.
Well, Fall is here and winter is just around the corner. I can start using my crock pot again. It kinda gets put on top of the fridge during the summer. I used it a couple of times, but for the most part we do lots of grilling and lite dinners in the summer. I love chili it is one of my favorite crock pot meals. I am looking forward to finding new and yummy crock pot recipes online.
I am also going to be better about planing dinners. As of last week Friday is officially home made pizza day! I hope to get in the habit of starting to post dinners. Be on the look out for something Yummy!
