The Wedding is Coming, the Wedding is Coming!

The royal wedding is tomorrow! Kate Middleton and Prince William are getting hitched at 11am. That is 3am on the West coast and 6am on the East coast!!

So, will you be watching?? Are you planning on having a tea and crumpets?

I will record it and watch it tomorrow. I read some people are getting up early to watch it!! I am sure it will be a beautiful wedding, but I am not getting up at 5am to watch. I heart my TIVO.

Every little girl dreams of being a princess and waiting for the day her prince will sweep her off her feet. What a magical day tomorrow will be for Prince William and Miss Kate!

I am so blessed to have found my prince. I hope Madison will marry a wonderful prince just like her Daddy someday.

It is so scary to raise kids nowadays!

I had such a wonderful childhood and was able to be a kid. It seems like children grow up way too quickly now. Girls act more like divas than the innocent fun loving girls I remember growing up with.

My wish for Madison is to be a REAL Princess!

I pray..........

To raise a princess who realizes she is the daughter of the King of Heaven and Earth.

A princess that is clothed in humility and grace, rather than the must-have fashions and trends.

She will not demand manicures and pedicures by age 5. But instead, her hands don't mind getting dirty to serve others and her feet will walk the extra mile.

Whose “adornment is not merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel— rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.”
1 Peter 3:3-5

For a Princess who loves her prince unconditionally and forever, and doesn’t turn away when her Prince falls off his horse when he isn’t as charming as she always dreamed.

That is the kind of Princess I hope, dream, and wish for Madison to grow up to be.

Madison LOVES rain puddles!! We have had lots and lots of rain recently and her froggie boots have been going for lots and lots of water adventures. We find water puddles every where we go.....parking lots, in the back yard, and in driveways. So much fun!!

Happy Easter!!

Madison's Library Easter project from Tuesday.

Easter Eggs!

Madison bought me these when we went grocery shopping. Wasn't that nice?!

Who's that doggie in the window?

We hope everyone has a wonderful Easter weekend!!

Remember.....Easter is more than chocolate bunny's and Easter egg hunts. Jesus rose from the dead on the third day after his crucifixion. We celebrate his resurrection on Easter Sunday.

Last year we made these fun resurrection cookies. We didn't get a chance to make them this year, but we will have to remember to make these along with our Easter eggs each year.

Do you know Jesus?

God is crazy about you. He loves you and wants you to live forever
with Him. (
Jeremiah 29:11)

The Bible tells us that not one of us is without sin.
Romans 3:23)

Not only do we break God’s commandments, we fall short
of His perfect standards. Even if your good deeds outweigh the bad,
you’ll never be perfect as God requires us to be. Just one sin is
enough to keep us out of heaven. (
James 2:10)

The good news is, God sent his son, Jesus, to earth as a man over
2,000 years ago. He lived a perfect life, without sin. He then died on
the cross for our sins. (
John 3:16)

The judgment that God should have put upon us, He put on His son.
Because He loved you so much, Jesus died in your place. He then rose
again. (
1 Corinthians 15:4-8)

If you turn from sin, and believe in Jesus, He will take away your
guilt and you will go to heaven when you die. (
John 3:16)

Jesus Christ alone can save you. If you believe that Jesus died and,
rose again and that his death is sufficient payment for your sins then
pray and ask God to come into your life. (
Romans 10:13)

First, admit that you have sinned. Tell God you are sorry and commit
to turn away from sinning. Say to Him, I put my faith in Jesus Christ.
Ask God to make Himself real to you, and He will. (
Jeremiah 29:13)

Happy Easter!!

Happy Earth Day!!

Well..... Everyday should be EARTH Day!

I have been wanting to make a rain barrel for the past couple of years. Gosh, we have been having SO MUCH rain!!!! It makes me sick to think of all the water that we have wasted already.

I need to get my paws on a 50- 55 gallon food grade plastic barrel.

Sherry and John made one a couple years ago. Check it out HERE. They make it look easy, I think I can do it too!!

Better yet!!!!! JR..... Are you reading this? Of, course you are because you get blog updates via email :O) Sweetie..... next time you are bored lets make this together!! xoxo :O)

New Wall Art

I love to frame scrapbook paper. Scrapbook paper is cheap and you can easily just switch it out when you get bored. I usually get my scrapbook paper from the local craft store, but a few months ago I came across the site..... Paper Mojo.

I tell ya, THIS paper sure got my mojo going. You better believe I was doing a happy dance especially after I saw the price........ $4.50. New wall art?? Yes please!!

I wish I had a huge empty wall to frame the whole sheet! I don't...... so I made due with what I had and cut it to the size that I needed. I was able to fill 5 frames with the one piece. I went with the black, gold, and silver color. The other colors are beautiful as well! I might need one of those in the future.

I was going to try and make this marble paper, but between the paint, my time, and not even knowing how to create this marble art- I figured I'd pass. I will pay the $4.50 and shipping. Thank you very much! It arrived in perfect condition all wrapped up in a tube. I just used scrapbook paper flat glue dots to attach the paper to the back of the matte.

I love it! This wall art is a keeper for a while. I don't see my self changing it out anytime soon. Unless I buy this Pirouette Marbled Paper - Turquoise, Apricot & Raspberry. Love that one too!

The black, gold, and silver is beautiful in person. You can see and feel the texture of the paint. I just picked out the area I wanted to cut for my large frame and then I used the left overs for my smaller frames.

You can also buy the paper in size 8.5 x 11 HERE. I think a set of 9 8x10 frames (3 rows of 3) with this marbled paper would look stunning above a bed, above a fire place, or any focal point in the room.

Even 3 of these square IKEA frames would look nice on a wall or above a bed.

LOL, you can see my poor bald topiary. hahaha!

If you are lucky enough to have a space for the full sheet you can get a nice reasonably priced frame at IKEA. The rectangle Ribba frame is under $25. I used the square Ribba frame which I already had.

This is the picture that caught my eye and when I fell in love with the paper. Can you see the marble paper peeking out at you on the left side?

Also, this paper would make beautiful wrapping paper for a special occasion!
