Lesson 21- Praying For Your Husband/ Future Husband

Pray that your husband will learn how to relax in the Lord and, in his greatest times of stress, find joy and peace in his relationship with God. Pray that he will submit his schedule to the Lord.

Neh. 8:10 Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

Prov. 17:22 A happy heart is good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing, but a broken spirit dries up the bones.

Ps. 16:11 You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

Lesson 20- Praying For Your Husband/ Future Husband

Pray that your husband will yield his mind and thoughts to the Lord. Pray that he will not entertain immoral or impure thoughts, and that he will resist the temptation to indulge in pornography.

Prov. 27:12
The prudent see danger and take refuge,
but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.

2 Cor. 10:5

Homemade Brown Sugar Hand Scrub

1 cup Dark Brown Sugar
1/2 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil, can substitute Sweetened Almond Oil or Vegetable Oil
1 teaspoon Vitamin E (cut open Vitamin E liquid gel caps)
1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract , optional (or your favorite citrus essential oil)
1 tablespoon honey, optional for dry skin

homemade snickers bars

Recipe found HERE.

Homemade Snickers Bars

makes one 9×13 pan

bottom chocolate layer

1 1/4 cups milk chocolate chips

1/4 cup peanut butter

Thoroughly grease you baking pan. Melt ingredients together in a saucepan or microwave, then pour into the baking dish and spread until even. Let cool and harden completely.

nougat layer

1/4 cup unsalted butter

1 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup evaporated milk

1 1/2 cups marshmallow fluff

1/4 cup peanut butter

1 1/2 cup salted peanuts chopped, roughly chopped

1 tsp vanilla extract

Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add in sugar and milk, stirring until dissolved and bring to a boil. Let cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add in fluff, peanut butter and vanilla, stirring until smooth. Turn off heat and fold in peanuts, then pour over bottom chocolate layer. Let cool completely.

caramel layer

1 14-ounce bag of caramels

1/4 cup whipping cream

Combine ingredients in a saucepan over low heat. Let melt, stirring occasionally, until smooth – this took about 10 minutes for me. Pour over nougat layer and let cool completely.

Top chocolate layer

1 1/4 cups milk chocolate chips

1/4 cup peanut butter

Melt ingredients together in a saucepan or microwave, then pour over caramel and spread until even. Let cool and harden completely.

Refrigerate for at least one hour before serving, then cut as desired. These can stay at room temperature, but they do get gooey. I like them refrigerated best!

Note: for best results, buy one of the half-sheet aluminum cake pans at the grocery store. That way, you can pop the entire square out and cut from there!

P. F. Chang's Chicken Lettuce Wraps

These are fantastic!! I can't wait to make them for dinner again! JR said they were a keeper!! You have to try these asap!!

EAT Craft

Madison and I made a fun little craft last week. Did you know hobby lobby sells sheets of adhesive cork? It is in the scrapbook section.

February

I was a very bad blogger last month! Here is a catch up post what was going on in February!
A couple of projects Madison made at school.
(I will post the recipe above this post) This was so yummy! Copy Cat recipe of PF  Chang's  Chicken Lettuce Wraps.
Yummy cupcakes JR bought Madison and I for my Birthday/ Valentines Day. We had a little cupcake photo shoot. These are so big- I can only eat 1/2 of one! Theres actually too much icing, but they are yummy!
Celebrated my 30th Birthday! Finally got my kitchen aid mixer from my husband! :O) I have been wanting one for like 10 years!! We got an awesome deal between a rebate and Khols cash! I guess amazon had a good deal this week too!
Ouch!! This was not fun!! I was out of commission for about 1 week. I had a cyst removed and boy oh boy did I miss my thumb! You dont realize how much you use it! JR had to blow dry my hair, lol!!
I am taking a stained glass class. I have taken 2 classes already. It is fun. Not at all what I thought though. I was thinking we'd be painting glass, but you actually cut glass! I am hoping I don't wind up with another figure injury!! haha!

Hobby Lobby sells glass. The lady let me and Madison use our 40% off coupons  :O)
Homemade Snicker Bars. Double yumm!! I will pot this recipe too!!
Cookies I made for Madison's Valentine Day Party at School.
I made Homemade Brown Sugar Hand Scrub for my friend Cythia's Baby shower last week.  I will post this recipe soon too!
Her baby boy #2 is due very soon!!!!
